JKT met stiff opposition from their opponents in the opening quarter, which ended with Mgulani leading 16-11.
JKT then regrouped to take control of the game in the next quarter to lead 19-11 and the outfit did not look back thereafter, leading 18-6 and 19-10 in the third and fourth quarters respectively.
Experienced player, Frank Simkoko, registered 18 points to lead JKT to the win. Isaack Mwamsope scored 15 points and Himid Choka nine points for the team.
Emmanuel Erick and Neville Sita scored 15 and 10 points respectively for Mgulani.
The day also saw Oilers secure a walk over following the failure by their opponents, ABC, to turn up for the event.
ABC were reported to have opted to stage a no-show as they are preparing for annual games of the armed forces.
A total of 24 teams are taking part in the league, in which 16 lock horns in the men's category and eight are in the women's category.
The league's defending champions in the men's category, Savio, are leading the pack, with Vijana positioned second.
Vijana Queens enjoy the top spot in the women's category, followed by DB Lionesses.
