Axed Young Africans member Sarah Ramadhani who has been contesting for a post in the club’s general election set for Sunday has been critical to the Tanzania Football federation.
Ramadhan who was the only female contestant in the election race said the football federation should distance itself from the club affairs.

 Overlooking the role played by the football federation, Ramadhan said the soccer body has been interfering with club affairs for no apparent reason. The axed candidate had asked to know the composition of the TFF electoral committee that made the ruling to offload her from contesting in the highly awaited election this weekend.

Sara bemoaned that TFF did not give her an opportunity for self defence should there be anything wrong with her quest to aspire for the club’s leadership post.

“I wonder why TFF disturbs our affairs”, she said.
She said her candidacy is valid because the Yanga electoral committee approved her legally and no one petitioned against her and she had already geared up to conduct campaigns to support her.

The former national athlete has vowed to promote all kinds of sports indicated in Yanga constitution. He criticised previous Yanga leaders for emphasizing effort on Football while overlooking the need to promote others as if the club has been formed to cater exclusively for football.

“I have been in the national athletic and basketball teams for more than ten years. That gives me sufficient experience to become leader”, she said.

She tried to avoid gender bias as the reason for being sidelined. She said United Nations advocates leadership equality between men and women and she hopes her competence in leadership will prevail.

Yanga members are expected to vote for new leaders on Sunday to fill up vacant posts left by officials who stepped down in June.
