Cement smuggled via Z'bar Channel denies govt billion
The government is losing at least 15bn/- per year in taxes due to smuggling of cement from Zanzibar to Tanzania Mainland, it has been revealed in Dar es Salaam at the weekend. Speaking at the company’s 2013 shareholders Annual General Meeting, the Tanga Cement Company Limited.

Tanzania challenged to invest in new water tech
Tanzania has been challenged to invest in new and modern water technologies to attain its 2015/2016 water target for all. African Water Associations (AfWA) President Duduzile Myeni said in Dar es Salaam at the weekend that it was high time the government committed itself in investing.
