Simba players and officials are expected to board a flight to Khartoum on Wednesday ahead of the return leg tie of the CAF Confederation Cup against Al Ahly Shandy this weekend.
The Sudanese side will host their visitors at their backyard located 70 kilometres north of Khartoum on Sunday
Simba’s chairman Ismail Rage said the match will be played under floodlights and his team flies early so as to acclimatize with the weather.
Playing duo of Juma Nyosso and Nassor Masoud have been ruled out of the Khartoum after picking up yellow cards during previous matches to be ineligible in the Al Shandy clash.
Simba cruised into 3-0 goals during their first leg match played on April 29 at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
The host side has a tall order to undertake with 4-0 victory as the best result to keep them on track for the last eight encounters.
Simba have a relatively soft workload to advance into the lucrative last eight round robin matches should they defend their victory on Sunday.
Simba booked a date with the Sudanese team after knocking out Algeria’s Entente Setif on away bonus goal advantage after a 3-3 tie. Simba had won the first leg in Dar es Salaam by 2-0 goals before losing by 3-1 in Setif.
Before meeting the Algerians, Simba saw off Rwanda’s Kiyovu Sport by 3-2 goals with a 2-1 victory during the return leg tie played in Dar es Salaam.
