Zimbwabwe national women soccer team arrived in Dar es Salaam on Wednesday evening in readiness for their international friendly against their Tanzanian counterparts, Twiga Stars at the national Stadium in Dar es Salaam tomorrow.
A contingent comprising 28 people including 20 players and officials were on board the flight.
The team’s head coach Rosemary Mugadza said she is happy to play against Twiga Stars tomorrow.
Zimbabwe is lined up to play against Nigeria in their Women African Championship final qualifier tie later this month.
She said her team is aware and knows the degree of prowess Twiga Stars have ahead of the clash.
As a coach she led Zimbawe to a 4-2 penalty victory over Twiga Stars during a COSAFA championship on July 5 in Harare.
The team also met Twiga at the All Africa Games in Maputo last September and ended in a dramatic 2-2 draw.
Zimbabwe’s last friendly was at home against visiting Zambia and posted a 2-1 victory.
Entrance fee for tomorrow’s friendly have been set between 1,000/- and 10,000/-.
Twiga like their Zimbabwean counterparts are also gearing up for a crucial AWC qualifier tie against Ethiopia with the first leg to be played in Addis Ababa on May 26.
The AWC will be staged in Equatorial Guinea later in November.
