The Miss Tanzania organizers have launched a new website that would track all beauty pageantry constants since the event was revived in 1994.
About 3,000 participants who took part in the contests from 1994 to date will be registered and their informations to be put into the website, misstanzaniatreasures.com with effect from next month.
The objective is to ease accessibility so as to communicate with them instantly whenever there is a business transaction for them to benefit.
The chairman of Miss Tanzania, Prashant Patel said over the weekend that the registration would start June, after introducing the website. The pageants would later undergo special training in and outside the country after being registered.
The first Miss Tanzania beauty pageants contest was held in 1994 at White Sands hotel in Dar es Salaam and Aina Maeda cruised to the title podium.
Patel who is also the chairman of the website said the registration would be conducted from the village, district, regional and national levels for all who participated in the Miss Tanzania beauty contest held in the country.
However, all beauty constants wishing to be registered into the website are required to contribute between 5,000/- and 10,000/- per month through the network in order to make website sustainable. The funds would be used for the cost of training and other contingencies.
"We will conduct trainings on beauty in the country and send them abroad to gain more knowledge and exposure," he said.
Through the site there might be several business opportunities and jobs related to beauty including fashions and other eventualities. The chairman called on all contestants to make themselves available for the website.
