Mwanza city will continue to enjoy Mainland premiership actions after their top flight side Toto Africa survived relegation battle in close shave circumstances last Sunday.
Toto ended the league on 26 points same as Villa Squad of Dar es Salaam but they missed the relegation flight courtesy of superior goal difference.
While Villa had the worst goal difference of minus 15, Toto had negative seven to stay afloat in the premiership berth.
Toto posted their last league victory against ‘blood brothers’ Young Africans before losing the rest of the matches thereafter.
The match against Yanga would linger long in the memory of the club as it was the first since wining promotion into the top flight berth in 2008.
Three teams including Villa Squad have been relegated to the first division. Others are Moro United and Police Dodoma who would fail to hit a twenty- point mark to stay in the teens.
Villa, one of the only two teams to have shaken champions Simba during the season by winning a match, is among three teams that regained the premiership berth last season.
They are back to the first division leaving behind Coastal Union and Oljoro JKT who also won the premiership berth promotion in the same batch last year.
Moro United ended the season as the team with the worst ever defences to concede 44 goals, just one below Villa Squad. United also posted the fewest number of wins, three, same as Police Dodoma.
The Moro United side which shifted its base from Morogoro to Dar es Salaam two seasons ago, would rue sale of their potential players during mid season transfer window.
Three other teams of Mgambo Shooting, Police Morogoro and Tanzania Prisons have won the premiership berth to replace Villa, Moro United and Police Dodoma.
