Tanzania Basketball Federation (TBF) is expecting to hold a coaching seminar for the games’ coaches in Dar es Salaam next month.

The TBF secretary general, Laurence Cheyo, said Kenyan instructor in the name of Ronnie Owino has been entrusted to conduct the course.

A total of 30 coaches from all over the country are expected to attend the seminar.

The seminar is aimed at improving standard of the coaching skills with a view of promoting the game from grassroots level, so says Cheyo.

Those coaches who would excel will be awarded certificates that are recognised by the world’s basketball governing body, FIBA.

Cheyo said the course is one of the high profile such that coaches are advised to attend as a career boost in basketball development.

The TBF secretary said those coaches wishing to attend the seminar are advised to register in time and they will be responsible to foot all costs, including accommodation during the course’s duration.

Registration cost to attend the seminar would be made public later, according to Cheyo.
