Benchmark sets aside 55m/- for BSS Second Chance awards

Benchmark Production talent show BSS Second Chance 2011í has earmarked 55m/- as the new prize for this yearís music talented champion.

Bongo Star Search (BSS) announced the award yesterday, seeing a grdual increase year after year as the BSS event is held.

BSS thanked Tanzanians for supporting the show by giving time to view and vote for contestants as they arrive to the end of the competitions.

The talent show is normally recorded in Mbalamwezi Beach Club and aired by Independent Television (ITV) on Fridays at 6:15 pm, Saturdays at 9:00 pm and repeated on Tuesdays at 11:00 pm.

Benchmarkís Production Director Rita Paulsen thanked sponsors of the BSS Second Chance for acknowledging and working hand in hand in revealing youth talents within Tanzania.

ìI would like to thank Tigo, PSI (Salama Condoms), Champion (Egender Health), NSSF and Golden Tulip Hotel for their contribution towards BSS Second Chance,î she said.

She named the top 10 BSS aspirants as Rogers Lucas BSS (23), Bella Kombo BSS (5), Chibi Dayo BSS (7), Sarafina Mshindo BSS.(24) and Hajji Ramadfhani BSS (11).

Other talented contestants are Mary Banyukwa (has already been evicted), Mary Lucos BSS (16),Waziri Salum BSS (27), Beatrice William BSS (4) and Imani Lissu BSS (I2).

Paulsen thanked support of Tanzania Breweries Limited three0-yeas sponsorship through its brand Kilimanjaro Premium Lager, Kilimanjaro Drinking Water as well as Turn Around Music Academy for offering musical teachings to BSS Second Chance 2011 contestants camped at Golden Tulip Hotel.
