



The Tanzania boxing commission has lined up several title and non-title bouts during Eid El Fitr festivities later next month.
All the bouts will be staged in Tanga city, so says the commission’s president Onesmo Ngowi.
Mwanzoa Boxing Promotion is responsible for organizing the bouts and has extended invitation to former Tanzanian boxer who previously won a medal at All Africa Games, Bakari Mambea.
Mambeya, who lives and operates his business in Philadelphia, has confirmed to be available and grace the boxing matches.
All matches will be staged at the Makorora Community Center as Ibrahim Habibu (Dar) is paired against Abdallah Mapoka (Tanga) in four-round Super Bantam weight.
Other bouts are Salim Sarai (Tanga) vs. Mohammed Kidari (Tanga), light welterweight (4 rounds), Lucas Michael (Tanga) vs Fundi Khamis (Tanga) in four-round feather weight contest, Mindu Simba (Tanga) vs Adamu Yusufu (Tanga) in four-round super featherweight, Puguto Omari (Tanga) vs Patrick Kimweri (Tanga), in six-round bantamweight, Zuberi Mohammed (Tanga) vs Khamis Daudi (Tanga) in four-round bantamweight, Muhidini Nassoro vs Bonzo Mohammed in eight-round Super bantamweight, Kinyampiro Mwakizaro vs Denis Mwelondo in four-round super bantamweight.
Other contests are between Hassan Ngonyani and Faisal Awadh, in four rounds bantamweight, Bakari Masamaki vs Mwali Juma in four-round Super bantamweight, Sero Manpacyao vs Rama Nyuki in four-round mini-flyweight, Mashaka Spoiler vs Godfrey Mgunga in four rounds Light Middleweight, Cholonae Kilo vs Mohammed Mpemba also in four-round light welter weight contest.
Main card boxing contest will be between Bakari Shendeka and John Mbwana in ten-round bantamweight for the northern zone championship.
During the second day of the Eid El Fitr there will be staged seven main card contests at the same venue.
Tanga city boxer Said Mundi is scheduled to clash against Rashid Ali from Dar es Salaam in ten-round Lightweight showdown.
The other contest also in ten rounds for the main card will be between Haji Juma (Tanga) versus George Massawe (Arusha) in Super Bantamweight.
The third main card will be between Allen Kamote (Tanga) versus Athumani Rashid (Tanga) in Lightweight contest.
Supporting cards ahead of the main card fights will be between Ali Yusufu Magoma and Saimon Zabon in four-round Lightweight while Selemen Hamza and Amos Andrea will meet in Super Bantamweight four-round showpiece.
The fourth main card for the night is between John - James Ngotiko (Dar) versus Anthony Mathias (Tanga) in Bantamweight. Jumanne Mohamed (Tanga) vs Rajabu Maoja (Tanga) will fight fir the ten rounds Featherweight contest, the fifth for the day.
The sixth contest will be between Zuberi Kitandula (Tanga) vs Hemedi Kangeta (Tanga) in Junior Bantamweight while Khamisi Mwakinyo and Mohammed Meme lock horns in Welterweight.
In Dar es Salaam there will be a fund raising boxing contest on the first day of the Eid El Fitr organized by SHIWATA between Alphonce Joseph (Mchumiatumbo) and David Michael Mlope (Zola D – King) to be staged at the Tanzania Ports Authority College.
Proceeds from the contest will be channeled to the construction project of low cost accommodation facilities earmarked for artists, journalists, and sportsmen and women at Mwanzega village in Mkuranga.
