Tanzania boxer Selemani Kindunda starts the hunt for an Olympic medal when he faces Moldovanian boxer Belous Vasilii in a welterweight fight at the arena in Dockland, London today.

Chef de mission of the Tanzania contingent Hassani Jarufu said from London yesterday that the boxer was in high spirits.

Kindunda’s coach Remmy Ngabo said his boxer would perform well as he had trained well.

“Kindunda has been training here at the state of the art facilitates. He is now exposed and what remains is to win,” the coach said.

Jarafu also stated that the Minister of Information, Youth, Culture and Sports Dr Fennala Mukangara attended the 6th Commonwealth ministers’ meeting on Friday at Banqueting House in Whitehall in London.
