The first division intermediate league ended in Morogoro on Monday and three teems have qualified to win premiership berth promotion for the next season.
The new arrivals in the top flight pool are Police Morogoro, Mgambo Shooting and Tanzania Prisons.
Hosts Police Morogoro topped the standings table with twenty points to open a five-point gap over Mgambo Shooting and massive six over third laced Tanzania prisons at the end of the league.
Police Moro have bounced back into the premiership berth after floating in the first division pool, for two seasons.
The Morogoro team ended the qualifiers with unique unbeaten run wining six and drawing two. They played eight matches scoring 16 goals and conceding five for a positive goal difference of eleven.
Second qualifier Mgambo Shooting will be making their debut appearance in the Mainland Tanzania’s highest football pool at club level.
Tanzania Prisons are not new to the premier division having features for almost ten seasons before plunging deep into the first division two seasons ago.
The new arrivals will be replacing as many teams from those plunging into the relegation pool that have Police Dodoma and Moro United as potential candidates.
The third team to join the relegation pool will be known at the end of the premiership season.
However, Villa Squad, African Lyon and Toto Africa might be trapped into the dreadful tunnel depending on how they perform in the remaining fixtures.
Other first division teams that failed to win promotion include Police Dar es Salaam that missed the opportunity by a whisker. The team ended the league with 13 points, just one adrift of Tanzania Prisons.
The rest of the nine teams and their points in brackets are Mbeya City Council (11), Rhino Rangers (8), Mlale JKT (8), Police Tabora (6) and Dar es Salaam’s Transit Camp (2).
