After three back to back defeats dethroned champions Young Africans ended Police Dodoma their premiership status through a 3-1 goal thrashing at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam yesterday.

Yanga’s Zambia striker Davies Mwape scored a brace as Idrisa Senga added the other to seal off a morale booster for the Dar football giants.

Yanga have now attained 46 points to stay third in the standings table and ten points adrift of pacemakers Simba.

Yanga had lost to Kagera Sugar, Toto Africa and a default loss to Coastal Union through fielding a suspended defender.

Another premiership derby saw Villa Squad sharing spoils with African Lyon at the Chamazi Stadium in Dar es Salaam yesterday.

The league continues today as Simba host Moro United while Azam face Mtibwa Sugar at the Chamazi Stadium.
