Rwanda champions APR and Burundi side Atletico Olympique ended their Kagame Cup second Group C match in barren draw at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam yesterday.

Both teams have collected four points after two appearances to keep their last eight qualification bid on the right track with a match in hand this weekend.

They have neither lost a match nor conceded a goal as they both focus on their next opponent in the knockout stages.

While APR meet holders Yanga in their final group stage game at the National Stadium on Saturday, Atletico  play soft target Wau Salaam in the earlier match of the day.

Three teams from this group would qualify into the last eight stage of the tourney with Wau Salaam likely to be bundled out of the tourney after conceding a second defeat yesterday.

The question will be based on the classification of which team would top the group and the subsequent quarterfinal pairings. So far APR are on top of the group with four points.

Atletico have the best opportunity to weigh their quarterfinal opponent while Yanga and APR might stretch muscles in a battle for supremacy.
