The national soccer team goalkeepers’ coach, Juma Pondamali, is far from coming to terms with the departure of his beloved club of Pan Africa from the top flight berth.

The 1982 Tanzania champions endured a torrid moment and tried to make premiership resurgence before drowning back into doldrums in 2007 season.

Pondamali said efforts are underway to restore the club’s pride and reputation and assist it in promotion efforts.

Members of the Pan Africa team were expected to hold a meeting at the club’s headquarters in Dar es Salaam to set up plans and strategies for its revival dreams.

One of the top agenda’s during the weekend’s meeting was plan for the team’s participation in the first division   league expected to kick off in September.

Non active members have been advised to activate their membership cards as they look forward to take the club back into glory days.

Pondamali is aware of the hard work lying ahead but is prepared to go all the way with the team on his shoulders.

The former national team’s goalkeeper has urged members to give all support needed in order to push the premiership promotion campaign.

Pan Africa will have to endure torrid breakthrough as they might face other formidable teams with similar mission in the likes of Police Central, Moro United and Villa Squad.

“In August we will train and I expect to get a few friendly matches. We have new players to blend with the old ones in building up the team,” he said.
