Banyukwa evicted from `BSS Second Chance`

23rd August 2011

Marry Banyukwa was evicted in the Bongo Star Search (BSS) Second Chance after less votes were cast over her presence in the 'danger zone'.

On eviction Banyukwa said that she would still stand on her own and remain a musician to her old age.

“I am not a failure, I am still a musician and will remain so throughput my life,” Banyukwa added.

Mary Banyukwa got a second chance to feature in this years' BSS Second chance after having done well in the third phase BSS back in 2008.

During her presentations and performance she was commonly known to be a woman with a male voice and she could sing hits of different male artists injecting their voices properly.

Bongo Star Search `Second Chance’ house is getting to the fifth week of the evictions.

This week training and performances will be themed ‘African Music week’ and that contestants will have to practice on the long time ago hits from different African artists such as Yvonne Chakachaka, Defao, Awilo Longomba and many others.

Recently BSS Second Chance contestants Haji Ramadhan and Waziri Salumu have each released their exclusive hits featuring Bongo Flavor artists Q.Chillah and Chege Chigunda from TMK Wanaume Family.

The nine remaining contestants are Beatrice William, Bella Kombo, Chibidayo, Haji Ramadhani and Imani Lisu. Others are Marry Lucos, Rogers Lucus, Sarafina Mshindo and Waziri Salumu.

Last week performers showed there singing talents based on 'Bongo Flavor' hits. This years’ BSS recalled the former BSS shining stars of the past five years.

The call up of the stars came after a successful period of sharpening music stars which stands to be one of the best active reality show that grooms musicians in self-discipline, committed, self reliance and hard work.

'BSS Second Chance' is always aired every week at the Independent Television (ITV).
