A Total of twelve netball coaches have graduated after passing the International Federation of Netball Associations (IFNA) course conducted in Dar es Salaam last week.
The course was conducted in concurrence with the continental netball championship that ended last week as Malawi triumphed pushing the host nation to the runners-up spot.
The netball association of Tanzania (CHANETA) acting secretary general Rose Mkisi said among those who graduated include youth team coach Damian Chonya.
"We are pleased with his achievement and hope that she will make the most of her qualification to boost the team’s performance", she said.
Three domestic umpires Jane Butinini, Lonila Mongimana and Dickson Kitanda also passed the IFNA course. Mkisi said umpires would most likely use and share the knowledge with their colleagues.
However, the Chaneta official declined to name coaches who stand a chance to officiate at World Cup stage having upgraded their qualification and knowledge.
"We are proud of the graduates’ achievement", she said.
