Boxers Mada Maugo and Francis Cheka are expected to sign a contract for their rematch scheduled at the Jamhuri Stadium in Morogoro on July 23.

Organiser of the middleweight ten-round bout Kaike Siraju said the boxers have agreed on the date of their rematch but official signing will be held tomorrow.

Siraju said the boxers have already taken part payment ahead of the much touted rematch.

The boxing duo had earlier met during the New Year eve at the PTA Hall in Dar es Salaam as Cheka emerged triumphant on disputed points’ decision.

Before winning the July 23 rematch appointment, Maugo had beaten Japhet Kaseba on Aprili 16.
