Tanzania Sports Writers’ (TASWA) award winning boxer Seleman Kidunda says his chances of excelling in nest month’s Olympic Games in London have been highly bolstered.
This is the second time for the Olympic-bound boxer Kidunda to win the annual TASWA award after last Saturday’s gala elevated him to a new status.
Kidunda dreams of the elusive Olympic gold as he strives to excel while urges fans at home to pray for him.
The award poses an imminent warning to his opponents who would try to stand in his way to back down immediately before they are humiliated in London.
“I am ready for Olympics and I know what I’m going to do, even if I have to step in the ring now, I have one step ahead acquired to attain gold medal”, he said.
The 28-year old boxer weighing 69 kilogrames seems to be in a sound state of mind as he continues preparing at Kibaha camp under his coaches Michael Changarawe.
Remmy Ngabo has paid tributes to his masters who gave him a lot.
Kidunda looks ahead to rectify the tarnished image of boxing in Tanzania after the much hyped narcotics scandal.
“I have the opportunity to give Tanzania boxing fraternity a new era when I should win medal in London Olympic”, he said.
Kidunda has good record as he seats fourth in the continent’s light weight boxers.
The boxer wants to improve and join professional ranks thereafter.
