BFT secretary general, Mashaga Makore

Dar es salaam region will again play host to the national amateur boxing championship that gets underway on August 25.

The secretary general of the Boxing federation of Tanzania, BFT, Mashaga Makore, confirmed of the city’s hosting status but declined to name the venue.

Makore said BFT has already extended invitation to all regions and urged officials to step up preparations ahead of the next month’s show.

However, Makore said BFT is hunting for sponsors who might support staging of the championship that also is used as stage for talent scouting.
The official said doors are open for all individuals and corporate sponsors to support the championship.
