Defending champions Simba face JKT Ruvu in a Mainland Premier League match at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam this afternoon.

Simba will be aiming to win in order to reduce the gap between them and two teams at the top - Yanga and Azam FC.

Apart from that goal, the Msimbazi Street boys will be targeting to win over the armed forces side for the second time after their 2-0 win in the first leg, where Amri Kiemba and Haruna Moshi 'Boban' scored the goals.

This will be the second league game for the city side after returning from Oman. They stunned African Lyon 3-1 last weekend when the second round kicked off.

JKT Ruvu are also prepared well to make sure that they don’t lose again but win this time. The team trained by coach Charles Kilinda lost 0-1 against Ruvu Shooting in their last game played at Mabatini grounds.

Simba are third on 26 points while JKT Ruvu are 10th with 15 points.

Other matches on the menu today are Coastal Union hosting Tanzania Prisons at the Mkwakwani Stadium.

The Mbeya side was beaten 3-1 by Yanga while Coastal Union hit Mgambo JKT 3-1 on the same ground in earlier encounters.
