Tanzanian athlete Dickson Marwa boards a Bonn-boud flight today to compete in the Olympic qualifying event scheduled to take place on Sunday.
Athletics team coach Zacharia Gwandu said the athlete is ready for the Hamburg games and he is optimistic over securing the London Olympics qualifying time.
He said Marwa prepared well for the event at Filbert Bayi Secondary school where the team is camping.
The coach said Maeaw secured the ticket the hard way as the search for sponsorship took time and was cluded by uncertainty.
Marwa himself said he is in a mood to compete and hopes that he will perform well.
“I‘m ready for the game in Germany and its my hope that I will qualify for the London Games”, said the athlete.
If Marwa qualifies for the Games he will be the third Zacharia Mrisho and Samson Ramadhan who are gauging for the London showpiece.
