Hilarious `Bongo Star Search` (BSS) gains momentum

The sixth edition of the Bongo Star Search (BSS), this time dubbed BSS Second Chance which involves former stars of the competitions.

Soon they will be heading for a camp at a place so far known to its organizers- Benchmark Production Limited.

The annual event which officially took-off on June 23th has to a great extent promoted Bongo Flavor music in the country and the country’s music at large.

Fourteen contestants are to compete in the duel to be done in house dubbed BSS House. Each one would fight to remain in the house to the finals. Singing is part of the game at the house while they way contestants mixes with fellow contestants is also one of the main tests at the house.

This years’ BSS will see the former BSS stars for 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 fight for the title.

The call up of the Stars came after a successful period of sharpening Music stars and this stands to be one of the best active reality show that develops musicians to be disciplined, committed, self reliance and hard work.

Under the guidance of the Benchmark Production Limited’s Director Ritah Paulsen, the show like the previous ones is expected even more spectacular. The show’s brilliant judges Salama Jabiri and Master Jay of MJ records would also grace the event.

The artists to participate at the BSS Second Chance house are Beatrice William, Bella Kombo, Chibidayo, Hajji Ramadhani, Imani Lisu, Juma Hussein and Lulu Abdul.

Others are Marry Banyukwa, Marry Lucos, Mwapwani Yahya, Rogers Lucus, Sarafina Mshindo, Shafii Zuberi and Waziri Salum.

Bongo Star Search started in 2006 giving opportunity to youth with singing talents. At the house the artists are expected to improve their talents while being trained by organizers.

Also the BSS Second Chance participants are training in contemporary fashions so as to sharpen their attractiveness since music goes with fashions.

Stylist personnel Rio Paul, Kevin Mariki and Noel Ndale are the ones preparing BSS Second Chance contestants in terms of musical dress codes.

BSS SECOND Chance would be aired every week at the Independent Television (ITV).

Last year BSS winner Marium Mohammed was awarded with 30M/-.

The BSS 2010 champion Marium was not in the list of the BSS Second Chance because she had already bee a winner in the competitions once.
