Why agricultural sector's performance remains below average
Although agricultural sector is a key driver of social and economic development in Tanzania, however, it annual GDP growth averages nearly 4 per cent since 2003 below the national average economic growth which is 7 per cent. It also contributes to about 26.8 per cent to the GDP.
