Mozambique national soccer team, The Mambas, are expected to arrive in Dar es Salaam today.
The team play Taifa Stars on Wednesday in a preliminary round match for the African Cup of Nations qualifiers 2013.
Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) information officer Boniface Wambura, said yesterday that a 29-man contingent will land in the city at 1.55pm aboard a South African Airways flight.
Wambura said the team will comprise 19 players and 10 officials.
Match commissioner Loed McIan from South Africa, Egyptian referee Farouk Mohamed and assistants Ayman Degaish, B.T. Abo El Sadat and Gihed Greisha are also expected today.
Mozambique lost 3-0 to Namibia in a friendly game last Wednesday while Taifa Stars and the Democratic Republic of Congo drew 1-1 in another international friendly in Dar es Salaam.
The Stars-Mambas match kick off at 4pm at the 60,000-seater National Stadium.
Pressure was rising among TFF officials on a declining trend in selling tickets when their pricing remains optimal, observers noted.
