MPs urge government to preserve old buildings
Some members of the National Assembly have urged the government not to demolish old buildings in Dar es Salaam but rather to preserve them as historical sites and tourist attractions to increase foreign exchange earnings.    Speaking during a question and answer session here yesterday, the MPs said demolishing old buildings destroys the city’s history and reduces potentials of diversifying the country’s tourism sector that is now mostly focused on wildlife.
