The national flag carrier, Air Tanzania Company Ltd (ATCL), yesterday launched its website with a view to improving communication with customers and enable people access booking, flight schedules and related information easily.
Speaking at the launch of the website in Dar es Salaam yesterday, ATCL Acting Director Paul Chizi said the website was a way forward for the firm’s daily work, which would enable it to work effectively.
Chizi said through the website, customers would be able to make bookings for their trips, while outside the country without forced to meet the firm’s agents in acquiring tickets.
He also noted that, customers and citizens would have an opportunity to give their views on the services given by the company and ask questions.
Meanwhile, Chizi has noted that ATCL services are expected to resume soon by the end of next month and would start with trips from Dar es Salaam, Mwanza and Kilimanjaro.
“We are waiting for Tanzania Civil Aviation Association (TCAA) to allow us to go to Egypt and inspect a new flight,” he said.
Flight DASH-8, which was undergoing maintenance at the ATCL workshop, is expected to be completed in 6-8 weeks’ time.
He said ATCL would continue taking into account timekeeping and better services to meet customer expectations.
“We have been providing services to many customers during this time and they have been asking, when we will resume our flights. I assure you that we are organising ourselves to serve them better,” Chizi said.
