Sees USD 500,000 deals struck in Arusha

The Arusha-based Corporate Networking events have enabled traders to exchange deals worth USD500, 000 in less than a year.

The events which are held every last Thursday of the month, bring corporate leaders and business scholars to exchange deals, ideas and learning techniques in a move to bolster their businesses and level of professionalism.

Charity Githinji stated that the occasions have been growing in leaps and bounds.

“At the moment the event, with great speakers, attracts nearly 200 Arusha businessmen as well as professionals, up from merely 24 members in the early days,” she said.

Githinji, who is the Kibo Palace Hotel sales and marketing manager, further said: “It is worthy to note that this event is the premier and only episode in Arusha that brings this important group of people who are crucial in supporting the region’s economic growth.”

“This group has seen the importance of working with communities and has already initiated a 7m/- programme to support 200 schoolgirls with Sanitary Towels and panties for a whole year,” she said.

Kibo Palace hotel has built partnerships with Tanzania Association of Tour Operators and Hotels Association of Tanzania, Vodacom Tanzania, Tanzania Breweries Limited and Min N co, in this venture.

Githinji meanwhile disclosed that the corporate networking event plans to stretch its wings to Dar come next February where they will organize four occasions up to November 2012.

Tanzania Association of Tour operators (TATO) executive officer Cyril Akko praised Kibo Palace Hotel management for coming up with the brilliant idea to connect corporate leaders.

“Kibo Palace Hotel’s corporate networking represents a big opportunity to facilitate deals’ exchange among the business community. We are so grateful for the hotel management,” Akko noted.

Kibo Palace hotel plans to expand its facility to the Northern Circuit which includes expansion of its current facilities at the present location.
