The national netball team, Taifa Queens, will compete at an inter-continental tournament to be held in Singapore in December.
The tournament dubbed as the 'Six Nations Cup' will attract teams from four continents, namely Australia, Asia, Africa and Europe.
The deputy chairperson of the Africa Netball Federation, Joel Mwakitalu, said yesterday that Taifa Queens got a chance to represent Africa after emerging second in the Africa Cup tourney held in Dar es Salaam recently.
She said Tanzania is ranked second in Africa after Malawi who won the title in the championship staged at the National Stadium.
Mwakitalu said that if Taifa Queens will again perform well in the Singapore event, Tanzania will improve in world rankings.
Other countries which will send their teams to Singarope are Namibia, Papua New Guinea and hosts Singapore
