MPs punch holes 0n new gas draft
Members of Parliaments yesterday cautioned the government against what they called ‘a rush’ to lucrative gas deal with multinationals, saying such hurry is what cost the country billions of dollars in 1990s when the State signed bogus deals with foreign mining companies. The MPs also want the government to be transparency and accountability in all major contracts to be sealed between international investors and the State in order to avoid the previous mistakes in mining and energy sectors.
