Dangerous pest destroying major food crops.
A new destructive pest is rapidly spreading through the coastal areas of Tanzania around Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar, attacking important food crops such as pawpaws and cassava as well as ornamental plants like hibiscus and frangipani.   The pest has been identified by scientists.

TABOA to probe rise in road accidents.
The Tanzania Bus Owners Association (TABOA) has formed a committee  to look into  the rise in the number of  road  accidents in the country.   The move follows       a rise in the  number of fatal    accidents in the country,.
