National team boxers board a flight to Casablanca where they are expected to compete in African qualifying leg for the London Olympics.
The team is made up four boxers and two officials and the Morocco games gets underway from today through next month.
The Boxing Federation of Tanzania (BFT) secretary general Makore Mashaga said the team is ready for the event and assured Tanzanians hitting the qualifier marks.
He named boxers who to board the plane and their weight categories in bracket as Seleman Kidunda (Welter), Emilian Patrick (bantam), Abdalah Said (fly weight), and Victor Njaiti (light).
He said the boxers were selected from ten competitors who were camping at Filbert Bayi secondary school.
The boxers are accompanied by two officials Remmy Ngabo and Michael Changarawe.
The Tanzania Olympic Committee (TOC) secretary general Filbert Bayi asked the boxers to maintain high levels of discipline which they displayed while camping and also to compete with the aim of winning.
He said Tanzanians have high expectations of them to qualify for the London Games. He also made a call to all officials of sports federations to make sure that their athletes maintain discipline.
