AT secretary general Suleiman Nyambui

Athletics Tanzania (AT) has organised a coaching course for the country’s secondary and primary school trainers at the Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Saturday.

AT secretary general Suleiman Nyambui said the coaches are supposed to impart the knowledge to be gained at the end of the course to their students.

He said the AT focuses on grooming young athletes who might become productive in three years time.

Nyambui said the initiative to train athletes at a tender age aims at meeting the demand of replacing ageing ones.

The course will be conducted by national coaching duo of Andres Bavo and Norge Louis.

Nyambui himself would also assist the coaches to train participants.
