Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has insisted that closing date for players’ registration in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) tournaments is Saturday this week.
Vodacom Premier League champions Young Africans (Yanga) and second winners Simba will represent the nation in the CAF tournaments next year.
Yanga will face Egypt giants Zamalek in the CAF Champions League while their arch-rivals Simba will play against Kiyovu Football Club of Rwanda in the Confederation Cup.
The continent tournaments will start in February.
A media release from TFF said all the clubs competing in the CAF tournaments can register up to 30 players and up to now Yanga and Simba have presented names of 28 and 24 players respectively.
The release, however, said teams who will fail to register the required number of players can do so at the next year’s August mini registration period.
TFF also said there are two ways of registering the players, online and offline, with TFF preferring the former.
