Brilliant music show thrills Arusha fans

Bongo Flava nusicial Ambwene Yesaya also known as AY entertains fans packed inside Arusha`s Sheikh Amri Abeid memorial Stadium during an open concert held over the weekend

It was on Sunday afternoon when fans in Arusha city started to throng the Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium to enjoy a concert that happened to stall business in the most astonishing way.

 Just two Bongo Flava musicians, Ambwene Yesaya popularly known as AY and Khamis Mwinjuma ‘Mwana FA’ took the city by storm in the breeze afternoon.

The entry-free concert reverberated with well composed songs in an effort to sensitize young generation of Tanzanians to redeem confidence and believe that Africa is the best place to live comfortably on the planet.

The AY and FA unique combination showcased their rich talents coupled with fantastic appealing dancing styles that kept fans spellbound throughout.

It was a bit chilly as winter season is just taking its toll in the northern Tanzania but   fans were completely unfazed by the musician duo’s superb show.

Arusha residents turned out in their thousands to witness Coca-Cola bonanza which is part of the company’s move to mobilize people especially the youth to have confidence in themselves and the African continent which is gifted with abundant of resources in the likes of minerals, lakes, national parks and mountains such Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in the continent.

“We are very pleased that such big crowd has turned up to support us in this campaign “Billion Reason to Believe in Africa” and will continue to entertain our customers and music fans through this kind of entertainment events”, said Bonite Bottlers Marketing Manager Gilbert Uisso.

The weekend show held at the heart of Arusha also provided opportunity for the rising music artists to demonstrate their rich talents and dancing skills alongside AY and FA.
They up-and-coming artists praised Coca-Cola for organising and staging such a unique music concert. It was highly fascinating according to them as
they asked the firm to organise such shows at least twice a year in order to give them an opportunity for music career promotion.

Apart from music entertainment, the show also gave participants a rare opportunity to display other hidden artistic talents such ball control techniques and weightlifting.

Billion Reasons to Believe in Africa is a two-year campaign initiative that Coca-Cola launched in Tanzania last month aiming to inspire people especially the youth to be patriotic.
The busy afternoon left most of Arusha people with long lasting memories of the show as they are not sure when such an event would be held again.

The Sheikh Amri Abeid Memorial Stadium frequently used for football matches, was this time transformed into a huge music bash and show looked abruptly short as the organisers called it a day.

Despite the multitude of fans that jammed the stands and the pitch, it ended safe without injuries as people left home satisfied.
