Preliminaries of Redds Miss Tanzania beauty pageantry will storm the Kigamboni area in Dar es Salaam on June 15, the organisers have confirmed.
The event will be held at Navy Beach venue within the Kigamboni area as leading beauty organiser Somoe Ng'itu confirmed in Dar es Salaam yesterday.
Ng’itu said preparations for the event are on the right track and the room is still wide open for contestants to join the race.
Winner of the event would represent the area at zonal and later national premier beauty pageantry level whose finals will be held in September.
"We still have a huge room to admit contestants as we project to find a competent winner for effective representation of Kigamboni,” said Ng’itu.
Ng’itu, whose company K & L has been blessed to take charge of the event, needs to showcase her competence through staging the best ever pageantry whose winner will possibly win the Miss Temeke zone contest.
Former Miss Temeke who won the 2003 edition Hawa Ismail is in charge of the entire beauty procession.
Already contestants have registered for the event and these include Caroline Peter, Theopisther Wenso, Sophia Martime, Amina Aboubakar, Aisha Rajab, Rosemary Peter, Mariam Mbulilo, Juliet Phili, Doreen Kweka, Agnes Goodluck, Khadija Kombo, Lina David, Aisha Mussa, Edda Sylvester, Fatina Francis and Rosemary Deogratius.
Tanzania Breweries Limited is in full support of the show through its Redds beverage brand. Other corporate sponsors include Dodoma Wine, Screen Masters, Clouds FM, Times FM and National social Security Fund, NSSF.
Former Miss Ilala Israel is the reigning Miss Tanzania.
