The national youth soccer side, Ngorongoro Heroes, play their Nigerian counterparts Flying Eagles in an Africa under-20 qualifier second round, first leg match at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam this afternoon.

The teams are looking for a ticket to compete in the 2013 African Youth championship finals in Algeria.

Ngorongoro Heroes coach Jacob Michelsen said yesterday that his players were set for the game although he realizes it will be a difficult encounter.

Michelsen said he had prepared his boys well to tackle the visiting lads, hoping that the two trials which his team had played were enough to shape them for a win.

“Flying Eagles are good. I saw them when they played Rwanda in a friendly match recently,” the coach said.

The coach said he will depend on players such as Frank Domayo, Simon Msuva and Ramadhani Singano who also turn out for the senior side (Taifa Stars) to contain the West African side, the defending champions.

On his part, Flying Eagles coach John Obuh said he did not know much about the opponents but maintained that he respected them on the grounds that they were in the second round. Tanzania eliminated Sudan in the first round. “I do not have a professional in my squad but I believe that we will qualify for the finals,” the Nigerian tactician insisted.
