As the Mainland premiership enters fourth round this weekend, five teams including holders Simba have so far maintained unbeaten run.

Simba, who meet Tanzania Prisons at the National Stadium tomorrow, remains the only side not to drop a point so far despite a hectic moment to salvage last-gasp winning goal against Ruvu Shooting during their last appearance last weekend.

The perfection has brought the team’s tally of points to nine with positive aggregate of six goals.

Other teams that have also been enjoying the unbeaten run ahead of tomorrow’s fourth round matches include third placed Azam FC with seven points in three appearances, Tanzania Prisons, Toto Africa and JKT Oljoro.

Tanga’s Coastal Union is breathing heavily before Simba’s neck with just a point having won and drawn twice to attain an eight-point mark.

Coastal Union, Kagera Sugar, Police Moro and Toto Africa are through with their fourth round matches played during the midweek fixtures.

While five of the six teams that remain unbeaten have occupied the first five positions in the standings table, Toto Africa is eighth with four points after as many appearances.

League stalwarts Young Africans and Mtibwa Sugar have each lost once and are occupying the middle table positions.

Bottom placed Mgambo JKT are still searching for their first victory and point after losing all the first three games.

Floating inside the relegation borderline at this early stage of the league includes JKT Ruvu and Police Moro with three and two points, respectively.
