The Tanzania Paralympics Committee (TPC) says it will send its representatives for the forthcoming International Paralympics Committee (IPC) conference expected to be held in Johannesburg from November 30 through December.
TPC secretary general Iddi Kibwana said the IPC conference in South Africa is crucial to the development of Paralympics games in the continent and the country in particular.
He described the conference as very important as it will serve as a postmortem for the London Paralympics Games, plan for the 2014 Rio Games and also plan for other events and games organised by IPC.
However, Kibwana could not disclose the names of TPC officials who will attend the conference saying his body is still looking for money to facilitate the trip.
“The International Paralympics Committee (IPC) has invited us the general conference in South Africa, but it will be very difficult to name TPC officials who will attend the workshop as we are still looking for money.
IPC will refund the money to be used but up to now we do not know who will represent the country at the event”, he said.
