Tanzanian representatives at the Guinness Football Challenge will be unveiled in Dar es Salaam tomorrow.
GFC official Davis Kambi said the country will be represented by ten men who will join their other competitors from Uganda, Kenya, Cameroon and Ghana in South Africa for a camp.
More than 200 young players attended the function in Dar es Salaam over the weekend.
Kambi said the January camping in South Africa will give the country youngsters the platform to show their talents and also the opportunity to learn more football techniques.
He hopes the South Africa trip will open more opportunities for the country’s young players.
“South Africa have many scouts network both from within and a broad , and with the talents the players has shown, we strongly believe that some of the players will be identified by top scouts and be given a chance at some top clubs”, he said.
He said he is happy with the level of commitment and enthusiasm displayed by the young players, hoping the country representatives at the finals in South Africa will excel.
Serengeti Breweries Limited (SBL) is behind sponsorship of the GFC and on his remarks the brewers’ executive director Ephraim Mafuru urged the youngsters to work extra hard so that they can realise their dreams.
