The Tanzania Football Federation has submitted a letter of complaints to the Confederation of African Football protesting of an alleged overage of Congo Brazzaville’s under 17 players.
According to a press release from the football federation, the overage players caused huge imbalance during the African nations Cup final qualifier duel played over the past two weeks in Dar es Salaam and Brazzaville.
The Tanzania boys won the first leg by 1-0 goal before falling to 2-0 goals and kissed a hand of goodbye in the qualifier series for the finals to be played in Morocco next year.
TFF claims there was huge intimidation during the return leg match played in Brazzaville and the Serengeti Boys were robbed of victory.
In a letter addressed to CAF the TFF claims all the Congo Brazzaville players who featured in the two matches should be re-examined their real ages to ascertain if it falls under 17 years.
