Simba’s prolific striker Mrisho Ngasa has crossed over to Sudanese top flight side of El Mereikh, Azam’s information officer Patrick Kahemele confirmed yesterday.
Kahemele said Ngasa has joined the Sudanese club at a staggering transfer fee of $75,000 and a negotiation for the deal has already been finalized.
Ngasa who has been loaned to Mainland champions Simba is now with the Kilimanjaro Stars in Kampala where the semifinals of the Challenge Cup championship will be played this evening.
Ngasa joined Simba on loan at the end of last season’s transfer window and has featured for the club for the first half of the season.
He is a co-leader in the golden boot award at the Challenge Cup championship in Kampala.
Kahemele said Azan’s loaned transfer deal with Simba does not include any clause of parting with a share of the transfer fee of the player should Azam find another bionafide purchaser like the El Mereikh in this case.
Ngasa scored five goals past Somalia during the preliminaries and played crucial role for Kili Stars’ semifinal progression.
