The annual under-20 players championship for teams of the Mainland top flight sides kicks off in Dar es Salaam today.
Matches will be staged at two venues of Karume Memorial and Azam of Chamazi, according to the Tanzania Football Federation’s press release availed here yesterday.
The teams have been divided into three groups as Coastal Union, JKT Ruvu, Mtibwa Sugar, Tanzania Prisons and Toto African are in Pool A.
Pool B has teams of African Lyon, Azam, Mgambo Shooting, Police Morogoro and Simba.
The last pool, C, has Kagera Sugar, Oljoro JKT, Ruvu Shooting and Yanga.
Coastal Union and Tanzania Prisons will kick off the opening match at 08:00 at the Karume Memorial Stadium as JKT Ruvu and Mtibwa Sugar have an evening kick off at the same venue.
Pool B openers are African Lyon vs. Police Morogoro at 09:00 ahead of evening session when Azam host Mgambo Shooting.
Teams in Pool C will kick off their matches tomorrow when Kagera Sugar and Oljoro JKT will play against each other at the Karume Memorial Stadium in the afternoon session while Yanga and Ruvu Shooting have their encounter at the Chamazi Stadium later in the evening.
The championship is under sponsorship of Said Salim Bakhresa and Company.
