The statement said at this year’s event a total of 23 category awards will be presented—namely EYA, sovereign the Overall EYA Winner, SME awards as well as key business criteria such as Leadership and Governance, Corporate Social Responsibility, Quality and Productivity and Disability Inclusiveness.

The sub category awards include Staff Training and Development, HIV/Aids Interventions, Occupational Health and Safety, Equal Employment Opportunities and Diversity.

“ The EYA is a much awaited event in Tanzanian employers’ corporate calendar and reflects the pinnacle of recognition for the country’s employers not just among their peers but also across all Tanzanians,” said part of the release.

According to the release, sponsors of this year’s event are Vodacom Tanzania Limited as Platinum sponsor, while others include National Microfinance Bank, G4S, Tanga Cement Company, National Insurance Corporation, Tanzania Cigarette Company, Tanzania Breweries Limited and PPF Pensions Fund.

“The association represents employers in all sectors of the national economy excluding the civil service. ATE members are drawn from private business firms, and some parastatal organizations.
