Four months of work and expendicture of 477 million/- has provided the Controller and Auditor General (CAG) with a faster, more secure network, guaranteed to improve the authority’s efficiency and communications capabilities.

Tanzania Telecommunication Company Limited (TTCL) yesterday inaugurated a high tech Wide Area Network connectivity (WAN) at the office of the Controller and Auditor General (CAG) to effectively and efficiently improve its daily performance.

The new mode of connectivity will allow the CAG’s headquarters as well as branch offices to effectively and efficiently carry out their daily functions particularly the exchange of data, which with the new network will be faster and more secure.

Speaking at a press conference in Dar es Salaam, the TTCL’s head of sales, Kisamba Tambwe explained that WAN is a reliable network which enables local and international communications to communicate in the shortest possible time and in a much more secure format from hackers.

“…unlike other forms of communication, physical fiber and virtual private network are much more advanced security connectivity networks…” said the TTCL head of sales.

TTCL is proud of the project and will continue to capacitate its clients who would wish to be connected in similar way.

Apart from the CAG’s offices, the TTCL has facilitated similar high tech network for PCCB, TRA, Ministry of Energy and several financial institutions.
