Skin and bones specialists from America are expected to arrive in the country on Saturday to render cost-free health services to disabled people.

The visit has been organised by Morogoro based Nashera tourist Hotel whereby at least 1,000 people with disabilities in Mvomero district are expected to be reached.

Speaking to this reporter, Benson Nabora, the hotel’s Manager said that the expected specialists have already approved their visit which will see them in the country for seven days.

According to him, the specialist doctors are coming from a private organisation dubbed Journey To You Promised Fund (JTPYL) which deals with fighting poverty in least developed countries through providing treatments and health education.

Nabora said that the Hotel will host them due to the good relationship they have formed with Eric Memorial Fund, an NGO dealing with people with disabilities of joints and those with mental impairment.

As a part of social responsibility, his hotel has decided to fly in the doctors and enable those with special needs to access treatment.

Nabora confirmed that villages to be reached include; Ndole, Mvomero, Milama, Idindo, and Magubike, adding that his hotel will be conducting the exercise yearly.

For his part, the Director for Erick Education Memorial Fund, Josephine Bakita said that the treatment is expected to help many disabled and improve the conditions of others. Bakita called on people with disability to use the opportunity to get treatments which will be offered free of charge, saying that they should not hide in fear of being laughed at.
