CHAIRMAN’S STATEMENT

     IPP Group Chairman, Reginald Mengi

The IPP Group of Companies started in a small way in the mid 1980s as a small scale hand operated ball point pen assembly, in a modest living room. Today the group boasts of several companies engaged in bottling, manufacturing, mining, television and radio broadcasting, publishing, printing, civil engineering and construction.

This development was made possible by optimizing on business opportunities and by creating and implementing new ideas that take into account the needs of people and priorities in the national economic and social development.

Realizing our social responsibility to communities in the areas in which we operate and nationally, we have continuously invested in education and training, health, environmental management and protection, assistance to people with disability and creation of youth employment.

These involvements have developed local and national economic conditions which contribute to poverty alleviation and health security, and enhancement of the purchasing power of communities. We have unreservedly respected ethical corporate practice, and in this respect we abide with all laws and regulations and operate transparently, fairly and accountably.

We have been able to face challenges and competition because we pay attention to our employees who are our most valuable asset.

They are respected and made to feel they are part and parcel of the employing company. Correctly, our IPP motto states:

“The human mind is our fundamental resource. Our business is composed not of land or buildings, not even of the capital invested, but the calibre of our people.

The result?

A group of people who work a little better everyday in products, services and ideas”.

IPP owes its success to its employees, regulatory authorities, and society which comprises of all our customers, suppliers and all those contribute in one way or another in the enhancement of our reputation and brands.

Reginald A. Mengi
The Executive Chairman, IPP Limited
