MP Margaret Bwana to be buried today

Special Seats (CCM) Margaret Bwana who passed away on Thursday will be buried in Dar es Salaam today.

According to a statement issued by the office of the Principal Information Officer to the National Assembly, the burial will take place at 4pm.

'Relatives, friends and well-wishers will pay their last respects from 12 noon at the residence of the deceased’s brother, Judge Stephen Bwana,' the statement says, adding that all women MPs would attend the burial.

According to the statement, the Deputy Minister for Local Governments and Reginal Administration, Mizengo Pinda, will represent the House while the MP for Mwibara, Mutamwega Mugahwa, will represent the opposition camp in Parliament.

The late Bwana passed away on Thursday after falling ill on Sunday in Dodoma.

She was rushed to Dodoma Regional Hospital and was later transferred to Muhimbili National Hospital (MNH) for further treatment.

However, the strike at MNH prompted her transfer to TMJ Hospital where she died.
