MMJKT, Magereza meet in boxing final

MMJKT (National Service Headquarters) and Magereza will meet in the Dar es Salaam Regional Amateur Boxing Clubs championship on Sunday at Luxury Pub ring, Temeke.
The Dar es Salaam Amateur Boxing Association (Daba) Secretary-General, Mafuku Kabeya, said yesterday that the two clubs qualified after performing well in the competition’s semi-finals last Sunday.
He said the team to win would represent the region in the inter-cities tournament later this year in the Rwanda capital of Kigali.
Boxers will contest in 10 categories, noted as lightfly, flyweight, bantam, feather, light, welter, lightwelter, middle, lightheavy and heavyweight.
Teams which did not qualify for the finals are JKT Mgulani, JKT Mbweni, Azimio, Mavitus, Amana and Ndame.
