Reveller drops dead in city bar

A resident of Mikocheni in Dar es Salaam, Steven Adriano (40) died on Thursday in a local beer hall located in Kawe Mzimuni.

The Regional Police Commander, Alfred Tibaigana said that Adriano went to the pub on the evening of the fateful day and the pub owner, one Cecilia Maulana served him with the local brew.

Tibaigana said while Adriano was taking his drink he suddenly fell down and become unconscious.

He further said that Adriano died while he was given first aid treatment at the scene.

RPC told reporters that the cause of his death could not be established at once and they were waiting for the medical report.

Meanwhile, a daladala (commuter bus) driver who was identified by only one name, Maliki aged 25 to 30 years died on Thursday.

Tibaigana said Maliki went to his boss Ally Ahmed to remit the day’s collection.

He said the deceased informed his boss that he was not feeling well.

While Ahmed was making arrangement to take him to his home he fell down suddenly.

The RPC said Maliki died while on the way to the hospital.
